Carefree R001750 Limit Switch
“Setting the limits. This can be very tedious and could take many turns of the key. We send these units set way out on both sides as they cannot be adjusted until installed. The motor will continue to run extensively both directions. It is up to the installer to decrease the motor run time to curb this. You always start and complete the lower limit before setting the upper limit. In other words, lower limit justified. This could take up to 120 turns. To periodically test the unit, raise the roof about a foot and then back down. If the motor continues to run, repeat decreasing the down. Do this until complete. Once this is complete you may then move to adjust the up limit and do the same sequence. Now if you have moved to the up limit to soon, you may have interrupted the sequence and will need to take the unit back to stock, which means extending run time both ways and start over.”
