Heater had obvious flow issues, as was evidenced by the pilot light being weak, and catalytic element never would get that hot. Diagnosed as a clogged regulator, probably from using a 3rd part extension hose that had manufacturing oils in it. Replacement part was exact fit. Tesstools had to work to get the part, but the leadtime was caused by Mr. Heater not making the part available right away. Tesstools shipped it immediately once it came in from Mr. Heater..good price, restored the heater to working like new!
